Answer: The pH of the Activator is 9.5. The pH of the Neutralizer is 3.0.

Question: Is it all right to color the hair after the Ion-Retexturizing process?

Answer: If a permanent color will be used, wait 7 to 10 days, otherwise the residual alkali on the hair will lessen the retexturized effect. If a semi-permanent color will be used, the hair can be colored immediately following the process.

Question: Can you perm the hair after the Ion-Retexturizing process?

Answer: Wait 7 to 10 days and use a cystine based perm solution. Note: This may undo the retexturizing effect.

Question: Why shouldn't the product be applied to the scalp or roots?

Answer: Because it will penetrate the pores causing deoxidization at the roots. In the combing process, the scalp will bear the force and new growth will be pulled out of the pores. This type of hair is easy to bend or break at the roots and it is also difficult to create a natural look. In rare cases, people with alkali sensitivity will react with a rash. APPLY PRODUCT WITH CARE TO AVOID THE SCALP.
